Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information AlchemyLift (“we,” “us”) collects, why, and the choices you have. AlchemyLift is operated by James Robinson, based in Texas, USA.

1. Information we collect

• Account information you provide: your name, email address, and the training data you enter into the app — workouts, sets, weights, reps, RPE/RIR, programs, training maxes, competitions, and any notes or lifter stats (e.g. bodyweight, sex, weight class) you choose to add.
• Usage analytics: we use Matomo, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves at analytics.1978dev.net. It records things like which screens are visited and features used, approximate location (from a partially-masked IP address), browser type, and referring site.
• Analytics are not linked to your account. We do not enable Matomo's User ID feature — analytics are collected in aggregate and are not tied to your name, email, or a personal account identifier.

2. How we use it

• To operate, maintain, and improve the app.
• To understand which features are used and to diagnose bugs and performance issues.
• To communicate with you about your account (for example, password resets and invites).

3. What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your analytics data with third-party advertisers — our analytics are self-hosted.
• We anonymize IP addresses, and we do not track you across other websites.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly-necessary first-party cookies to keep you signed in (your login session). Our analytics run in a cookieless mode and do not set any tracking cookies — so no analytics cookie banner is needed. You can control cookies in your browser settings, though disabling the login cookie will prevent you from signing in.

5. Your choices and rights

• You can request a copy of, or deletion of, the personal information and workout data associated with your account by emailing us at robinsonjamesp78@gmail.com. We can delete your account and its training data on request.
• Our analytics honor your browser's “Do Not Track” setting.
• Depending on where you live (e.g. California / CCPA, or the EU/UK under GDPR), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out; contact us to exercise them.

6. Data retention

We keep raw analytics logs for up to 14 months. We keep your account and training data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to operate the service — and we delete it on request.

7. Children

This service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
